Allan,I hope you don't mind if I step up to bat here. The difference between bypassing a 100uf cap with either a .22 or a .47 is getting close to splitting atoms. Bypassing a larger cap with a smaller cap is an attempt to pick up where a larger cap may start loosing its effect due to a small amount of series inductance in the extreemly high frequencys. Have fun with it and try what you like if you are lucky you will hear a difference. If you don't hear a difference, you will at least feel better knowing that it has been done. If you want to go all out, do the 1/10 plan..... to a 100uf cap bypass it with a 10uf and a 1uf and a 0.1uf. And as with any tweak, trust your ears, if it goofs up the sound pull it out.
