Has anyone tried using voltage regulation for the front end supply,either tube or solid state.Adding capacitance and higher current diodes seems to have been the preferred choice.
Also does the latest upgrade still have that 100mf between ground and B+,where it is shown as an add on in the manual,being connected after a dropper resistor at the plate of V4,This is purely from memory,I do not have the manual in front of me.I am actually thinking of using two full-wave tube rectifiers,with a classic pi filter,no electrolytics,just small value polypropylenes,bypassed on the audio side.
