7H is good, but 150 mA is way more than you need. Even a 50 mA choke is overkill. I never have a problem bypassing a cap. How much depends on the ESR of the cap you have in mind. The 1% rule is a good one, so 1 uF in parallel with 100 uF works for me. The latest factory driver supplies use a pi filter with with either 5H or 7H and a pair of 100 uF caps per phase. The pi filter runs the driver stage (V4). An additional 100 uF cap comes off the pi filter, isolated by a 600 ohm resistor, and runs the the input stage (V1, V2 & V3). Pi filters are wonderful. 12 dB vs. 6 dB better noise attenuation for low-pass, compared with simple capacitance.
