In my experience, assuming you really do have the bias set correctly, it's not unusual to lose as many as 25% of your new output tubes in the first few months. Sometime after that, the 6AS7Gs seem to last for years and years. Just to be sure, check out Bill Layer's procedure for setting bias located at http://www.condor-connection.org/blayer/bias.htm. This is excellent and should be THE way to set bias IMHO.Just a note... I've had just about the same amount of luck with the Sovtek 6AS7Gs. They're only $13 a copy.
