In an audio salon, I have heard both the Cary 805s and the Atma-sphere M60s driving the same pair of Quad 63s (on different days). The M60s had an edge on the Carys, so I would project that the MA1s would be even more obviously superior. What spkrs do you have in mind? The Quads, of course, are ESLs; this type of spkr is undeniably best driven by an OTL, so the Atma amps had an inherent advantage over the Carys from the get-go.
