The factory supplies 33 feet of 20 gauge wire with each kit and Ralph says that's more than enough if the wire is properly routed. I used close to 40 feet of 20.5 gauge Cardas wire when I rebuilt my M60s. The Teflon insulation on the Cardas is nice in that it tolerates a lot of heat from the soldering iron, but since the individual strands are enameled, you MUST use a solder pot to tin the ends. Even an 800° soldering iron did not work well to properly tin the wire.IMHO The Cardas 20.5 gauge wire is good, but probably not better than the 20 gauge wire supplied by Atma-Sphere. I can't comment on the 15.5 gauge except to say it's probably somewhat more difficult to work with.
