Without a doubt-Telefunken made the best tubes ever,very long life-100,000
hours, very smooth,alot of detail and extended on both ends. Unfornately they are now expensive as they were orignally. In 1968 they cost about $8.00 each, which was about 8 times more than other tubes but they lasted
so long they could justify the cost. Second choice would be the old label
Mullards or Brimars but not the Nato or military versions. The military version were made in the late 1970's and are pretty edgy sounding.
