Ralph,You offer some of the best amplifiers and best bargains on the commercial market. The M-60s, particularly as kits, are a steal. As you know, I modified mine when I owned them, as have many on this board. For Harvey to imply that those of us who did so did it out of some "need" to correct a flawed design is hogwash. Anything built to a price point can potentially be improved for a given listener in a specific context. And it's the nature of this hobby that most of us are inveterate tinkerers anyway.
I am truly sorry about Listener, for it's a magazine that is fundamentally as honest as it comes in the high end arena. Of course, that may be damning with faint praise ;-). Surely harvey's 15 minutes of fame are almost over?
