I have the REsolution Audio CD50 also. I tried trunning them directly to the amp and had a similar experience. They are too detailed and not enough body to the music! ( It souinds incredible at first, but soon you miss the sense of everthing blending. Maybe like sitting in the front row instead of further back. I spoke to my speaker maker, Bobby Palkovich (?) of Merlin and he suggested that using my pre amp (Joule) would be the more musical alternative. Ralph also said that maybe the CDP might have trouble powering the lines. Eventually I think I would love to get the Atma-Sphere balanced preamp. But will have the additional cost of getting all balanced interconnects.Steve
