Any Quad owners out there?

OTL, Output Transformerless Amplifier User Group.

I just purchased a pair of the new Quad 989's. From what I understand probably the third pair to be sold in the states. I know I have break in to look forward to but they sound pretty good after 5 days, intruments and vocals are just starting to take on a more 3D character. Can anyone out there give me and idea of how long these might take to achive best sound. I have read recent reviews of Sound Lab speakers and 300 hours seems to be the number. In the Absolute sound review J. Valin reported that until broken in the sound was a little dark and somewhat bass heavy--this seems to mirror what I am hearing.
The only other electrostats I have expierence with are Martin Logans and these are definatly cut from a different mold--Very easy to listen to, usable bass to 30-35 hz, plays LOUD, and big deep well defined soundstage even listening in too small a room. Seems to be a great match for my MA-1 mkII.
