Kevin---I am also using the A3's (older diaphram) with the Ultimate transformers (triple wired, braided) and power supply. They are driven by a pair MA1 MkII's built on the 'deluxe' chassis (Ralph says it is the only pair that he built this way). This combination fills my room with very little effort unlless I'm using analog due to the low output of my cartridge. Wouldn't we all like to have an excuse and the money to go to a pair of MA2 MkII's? Did you say 48 6AS7's...you ought to be able to roast hot dogs. Later...Gary.
