O.K. Let's assume you're adjusting your bias with the external meter and not using the internal meter. This
is a very accurate method and you deserve a pat on the back This means your DMM should be on a
current range, perhaps 2 amps full scale, and the meter's leads should be placed directly across the
speaker terminals. It doesn't make any difference which lead you have on which speaker terminal.Much like the offset voltage we discussed previously, you should think of this as relative. The polarity
indication on your DMM is of no significance. If you're using Russian 6AS7s then you should adjust the
bias so it reads 600 mA on you DMM and ignore any polarity readings on your DMM. Don't worry.
