Another category of speaker which couples the speaker to air are 6th order bandpass speakers. While not horns, they still fall within a category of high transducer-air coupling devices.
Many backloaded horns are a kind of cross between horns and TQWP speakers, so many of these types of speakers are in a sort of grey area.
