"How low they will go? Suppose one driver is -12 dB at 400 Hz. Two drivers will be -9 dB; four drivers -6 dB, eight drivers -3 dB, and 16 drivers 0 dB. This means that with 16 drivers, you will have an extra octave of low frequency response at the sensitivity of 93 dB."That's not quite it. Power sensitivity (not efficiency, which is stated as a percentage of power out versus power in) does increase by 3dB with each doubling of drivers, while the upper frequency response corner goes down by a factor of approximately 0.7 with each doubling of drivers. This does not result in a lowering of the frequency response. It does, however, result in a finite limit to system sensitivity.
