I just picked up an old bass cabinet at a yard sale (cheap) - I could see the 4" aluminum dustcaps through the grill cloth and hoped there might be JBL D-130 speakers inside. What I found inside is still pretty cool, just not sure what they are. Stamped frames, 3" voice coils and huge alnico magnets that look just like some of the older Trusonics. Vent through the back of the magnet with a small round grill over the vent hole. These really sound great too.
The mfg code indicates (if I'm reading it right) made by Utah in late 1970
code:328049
I'm wondering if Utah had a bunch of old stock Trusonic parts lying about and built these up on stamped frames. The other number is hard to read but looks like it starts with RS (looks like it could be RS-1084B) so I wonder if these were made for Radio Shack?
Any help identifying these is appreciated
