Ten watts ought to do just fine with ESL57s in a small room, but they are a bit too polite if your musical tastes favor 70s rock, jazz, etc. Led Zeppelin would not be as well served. :)
On the other hand, would a (presumably) 12-14' long room work with VOTTs? Don't they need more space between them and the listener for the drivers to blend well?
