I like the Tannoy sound quite a bit and it can live well in a small room. I have some 12" reds that are very smooth/sweet - oh, so very British sounding! I also like the Altec coaxials - maybe not quite as smooth but more dynamic. I can say that I do NOT like the Zu Druids. That's a speaker that I took a rather quick and decided dislike to even though it was mated to a nice yamamoto amp that supposedly was just right for the speaker. I'll say that it was "colored". Some people who heard the same thing did like it.
