hello Peter
i understand that to go the way Avantgarde goes with the community and the beyma is a winning and attractive design, and you want improove your system, and think replace the bms could give better results. however : the bms does best exactly what the community does : the midrange. the weak part of your system is the mid-bass, and high frequency section. i would make a rectangular tractrix mid-bass horn , wich is not so expensive, and use a Ciare 8.5 Nd MR, wich you can get cheap at great plains audio, disconnect the tweeter of the bms. the jbl 2405 ore beyma copy do a very good job, you can use it above 7khz. you will not spend a lot , but improovement of yous system will be considerable. cutoff at 300hz is the worst, as you have the most music information at this frequency region. the best is to use a midbass channel that covers between 150hz and 1khz.
best Angelo
