This one is an early cabinet and the back doesn't come off. When the thing is turned upside down there are two screws just behind the "foot" that fit into T-nuts on the grill cloth support. They unscrew gently and the cloth drops down. There is also ample room to get them back in place to easily reassemble the unit. This also allows for tightening the grill cloth for cosmetic purposes. Gee, I've had this for twenty five years and never turned it over. Grey components, BTW. Thanks fnemick, for the inspiration. I have a later blond one where the back does come off but it still has the same bolt arrangement and no wing nuts. Maybe these details can be the basis for a 34 timeline.
