Funny, you never see guys at the Altec and JBL forums talking about modding their speakers with Atlas bullhorn drivers and flame-thrower Klipsch mid horns. But there's a regular little cottage industry around "improving" Klipsch products.
The guys that kill me are the guys who replace the mids and highs in their Cornwalls with Altec but still leave that cheesey K-33 woofer in place. They'd probably be better off to replace the K-33 with a 416 and leave the stock Klipsch mids and highs. Better yet ditch the whole goddam schmear and get a proper turnkey Altec in the first place.
