Karlsons IMO are a very viable choice for the slam and low distortion of a huge basshorn in a much smaller - if still big - package. The most 'sensible' use is ~50-300Hz crossed over to a midrange horn, but integration can be tricky. With a coax, they might not measure as well, but can sound very listenable. I think my favorite implementation was crossed @ 1500 or so to a 1" dia K-tube with a cheap eminence PSD2002 sitting on top. Surprisingly cool.
