These are not Altec Drivers.
I just took em apart, and these have an orange brownish colored diaphragm made out of some papery feeling plastic.

I wonder what these were, if indeed they were Atlas drivers ?

The folded horn bass box, and the 8 inch driver combo I really like.
Lively and efficient, and good sounding too.

I am glad I save my Gollehon wooden horns as Freddie suggested.
I checked, and these drivers screw right on.

People who want to play with horns, and in need of an efficient, small, fairly good sounding bass box should find these little guys.

The 8 inch driver will go right up to 1 k no problem, and sound pretty good at it too.

What I need is a cheap, decent sounding 1 inch driver of 8 ohms that will go down to 500 hx, and out as far as possible.

The Milleniums I looked at don't go down far enough.
The ones that do go way down, and out far up in freq cost megabucks.

I have heard mixed things about the Altec 806.

Any other suggestions ?

I would like to keep it a 2 way ?
