I've been building horns since I was in my 20s, and I know a thing or two about making them sound good. Unfortunately, they are often ugly as sin. In my home theater I'm using JBL two-ways. The JBLs do not SOUND as good as what I can build, but they LOOK a heck of a lot better. So I was pleased to see that there's going to be a new high efficiency speaker available, designed by Earl Geddes. I've heard his Summas, and I'm certain these will sound similar, for a lot less money.
Can't wait to buy 'em.

The Summa loudspeaker is no longer available. The technology has been sold to Audio Intelligence (Ai) of Bangkok, Thailand. They will be producing the Summa replacement as the ESP15. Ai will offer an entire line of premium loudspeakers including an ESP12 and ESP10 - Summa equivalents in much smaller packages - as well as several subs and smaller lower priced models. All systems are designed by DR. Geddes with waveguides and Refractive Foam inserts. Look for Ai announcements in your favorite Audio press.
