In my experience, the advantages of alnico (as well as shorting-ringed ceramic and neodymium) aren't audible in the region you're talking about.Is the 12" helper woofer also going to be on an open baffle, or will it be in an enclosure of some type? If on an open baffle, will it be equalized?
