High effeciency open baffle woofer?

I've decided to go ahead and build a from scratch 2-way open baffle speaker. And since I'll have six weeks to research and ask around about components I thought I'd start here and try and tap you gentleman's considerable knowledge base.

For an inexpensive woofer how do these Eminence drivers look? Which of them would work best in your opinion.

Eminence Beta 15A

Fs. 35hz

X-max 4.0mm
crossover point 3.7khz

Eminence Alpha 15A

I figure I'll choose a tweeter to match whatever woofer I decide on.

Man! this was hard to write, the reason I have 6 weeks off is due to back surgery and the pain medicine they gave me is just hammering me. ;)
