yes, they did sound Damned good. I did find the early ones at the Klipsch factory to be slightly dark but more to my liking. PK at that time "wished" for a way to extend the bass horn to 1K.he said that the top horn was "so much better" with a higher x/o fq.
The lack of top end extention did not bother me and sounded properly but the folks that like in your face cymbals should just go buy a drum kit and be done with it.
I found the bass horn to be superiour to the K folded 15" driven horn in ALL areas.
The ones I heard were some of the very first ones, 2 way, wooden 500hz horn.
