With £700 to spend it looks like secondhand will be your best bet. In the UK there is an active secondhand market in Lowther drivers and cabinets.
I started with cheap Lowther acoustas, upgraded to Lowther Fidelios then on recently to Hedlund Horns - quite a trip.
If you buy wisely then secondhand Lowther kit will return most of your money when you upgrade. This in itself is rare in Hi Fi.
