I put some noise reducing felt under all four legs of the SA11. Part of the problem is my bookcase acts to amplify noise, It helped a whole lot.
I notice the sacd drive noise only on very quiet passages at the very beginning of the SACD. The increase in sound quality from Cd to SACD make a little bit of noise just a minor distraction. I have received several email from SA 11 owners all reporting drive noise on SACD. Apparently SACD drive spins 2x faster than CD. The rest of my system is of good quality, but not of highest audiophile quality. But the SA11 raises the sound quality level to where I'm enjoying the music again, my toes are moving with the sound. Its even more knock our socks off in SACD.
