Hi Gerry,You make some good points, of course. At the moment I don't feel a need to mod my 7S1. I went for what I hope is a reliable player with great sound and I just want to enjoy my CDs for awhile without thinking about hardware. I will probably upgrade the power supply in my Modwright preamp though. That's not a mod, is it? ; >
