My friend just got a used Sony SACD-1, but in excellent physical condition. However, with our ear close to the player we hear a small rattling and hum noise. I suspect small rattling and hum is normal due to ground loop and transformer or other thing in the power supply. Small hum is probably exceptable if due to ground loop. However, small rattling too is really surprising me especially the HI End toy such as this one. We tested this with everything in the system off except for SACD-1. I have a Classe 1.5 and do not hear a thing when power on.1) Is this normal for SACD-1 and other Sony series?
