Compared to the domestic early 90s CD release, which has never been remastered, the sonic improvement is quite important. I think this is largely due to the remastering, as many early CBS CD reissues sound poor. There is also a DSD-remastered japan reissue CD, which is now OOP and goes for big bucks on Ebay.I don't now if the SACD is still available, but any available Sony jazz JSACD can be bought at list price plus very low shipping cost from Hiroshi Tanno at earlyrecords.com . I usually order 3-4 at a time, with shipping the total price per disc comes to $30, which is half what european stores charge for importing those SACDs.
