Help! SCD-1 Blowing Fuses

I recently came home from about a year overseas. When I tried to play a cd on the Sony, I got the dreaded "no disc" message. I then lubed the sled rails and tried again and it played fine for about an hour and then the sound started dropping out and then the player shut down.
Upon inspection the (middle) fuse on the power board going to the digital section was blown. I then went in and did the complete sled motor/spindle motor recleaning put it back together, and .... STILL blowing the same fuse.
Anyone have any ideas?
