Trying to talk myself into selling one of my SA-8260 and buy a 8001. The improved laser assembly is overdue.
One spec listed is the use of surface mount components in the output stage. Has anyone looked inside to see what is used here?
The parts used in the 8260 are excellent, Toshiba 2SK170/2SJ74, Silmic caps, and Cerafines. Is the 8001 a combination of sureface mount and through hole technology?
