Cut a piece of foil twice the width of a CD or SACD (dimensions are not critical), fold it over the disc, and stroke the foil gently a couple of times with the back of your other hand. This seems to free the disc of any static charge it might have and renders it playable, sometimes. Worth a try, but really only a temporary fix. Sounds like your player needs to take a trip to a service center. Good luck, DaveSome have said that there is an actual sonic improvement from doing this, and even that it makes a difference what side of the foil touches the disc. Not me.
