"At the Montreux Jazz Fest" is really a fab example of the more extroverted side of the "late" Evans Trios. It, in a word, rocks. To be sure, this must at least in part be credited to Eddie Gomez and esp. Jack deJohnette, whose I think only Evans Trio appearance this is (on recordings). And btw, it's available in SACD - brilliant! TL
