I managed to get a hold of this Service Bulletin, but they show a different P/N than the ones you've listed... I also checked DAPC and the part is listed as "Currently In Stock" and costs $112.01. It sure would be nice if the replacement chip was as easy to install as the one I did on my SCD-777ES.Anyway, here's more info on this Service Bulletin:
Date: June 29, 2001
Subject: "C13:00" Display Error and SACD Multi Disc
Symptom: (2177)
A. During play back, “C13:00†appears on display and unit stops playing.
B. During play of an SACD Multi DISC, the following symptoms are seen:
a. A-B repeat is not functioning.
b. Intermittent failure of search when using program repeat.
c. Index search operates intermittently
d. Using the track repeat will intermittently pause the unit.Solution: For Symptom A: If the unit is version 1.7 or 1.8, change the version of IC103 on the MB board to the following part: (note: This is not a problem for units with version 1.6 and under.)
