Re: almost all SACDs have a 2-channel SACD layer . . .

The pink Floyd is one of the ones I have with cd layer stereo and I think sacd layer is 5.1 only. In this instance the sacd is crunched down to stereo right? (My machine is hooked up to stereo output). I have a classical one like that also. I thought of the question because I will be getting a new sacd issue of Moody blues "treshold of a dream" and am wondering if that will be the same way. In which case (like kal says) I am not really getting sacd quality. What others I do have are either sacd stereo only, or sacd stereo layer with a stereo cd layer too (my rolling stones for example). thanks for the input.
