I just got my set of Mooody Blues Discs and figured I'd give a preliminary review on the MCH tracks. I have only listened to Days of Future Passed and Threshold of a Dream at present -both in MCH. Days of Future Passed is one of my favorite albums. I have the CD, the Deram record, the MSFL record, and now the SACD. All recordings are in good shape. The Deram record is VG+ and the MSFL is Mint. I rank the sonic quality of the SACD between the Deram and the MSFL album. The MCH SACD gives a larger soundstage but the MSFL brings out more of the microdynamics of Justin Hayward's voice. The SACD is very good, however. It is far superior to the CD and IMO very slighly better than the Deram vinyl. Part of this is due to the MCH presentation, which IMO make the orchestral passages larger and more life-like.Threshold is outstanding. It is far better than the old album I have, although that album was originally bought by my wife many years ago and was played too many times on bad equipment to make it a fair comparison. Overall the sonic quality of the SACD is excellent. It is, IMO significantly better than the Days of Future Passed SACD, which is still very good. I really enjoyed listening to Threshold. The SACD transported me back to 1971. The only thing missing was the pungent smell of burning hemp.
