Sled Motor SCD777ES Questions

Hi-Rez Highway

New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

I am now suffering from the no disc plight.
To lubricate the sled motor as a starter, can I do this in situ without removing it by carefully spraying progold it, or does it make such a mess that removal is mandatory?
If I do remove, I understand that I should run it in both directions. Do I do this by reversing the 12V polarity?
