I agree with the others who suggest that you go through the (painful and expensive) process of sending it back for repair (or perhaps they'll provide you with a new unit). Mine still plays everything I put into it (cd and sacd) without problems. I'm sorry to hear about your problem :-(There is, however, an idiosyncracy with this player that I mentioned in one of my notes a few months ago and wanted others to be aware of. When a disk has music that continues from one track to the next, there is a very brief interuption in the sound flow as the track changes. In 98% of the discs I've played, this is of no concern because the music is not continuous through the tracks. However, I recently bought the Brilliant SACD of Brahms piano variations which is comprised of about 76 tracks (each of the individual variations are tracked) and this shows the problem up very well. It was a bit annoying even though the interruption in sound is very brief. I believe this must be inherent to the drive mechanism they have used but if anyone has other ideas, I'd like to hear about them.
