OK. Statistically significant assessment is impossible for anyone except, perhaps, Sony or Consumer Reports, neither of whom bothers with this sort of equipment.The only ways for us to report on reliability are anecdotal as in this forum. So, the only report possible from me is that the XA9000ES (from early 2004) I have is still going strong and is completely functional. And, btw, so is the XA777ES (from late 2001) in my other system.
