In 1980, I paid $500 for 48K (that's .048 meg) ram for my first computer.
In 1986, I paid $600 for a huge 20 meg harddrive my IBM-XT.
Now, an album takes up 20 meg on my palm pilot (wma file), and we think its nothing.
I do not know if the Sony PC has some kind of lossless compression for the DSD stream, but if it does not, an album would take up a lot of HD space. Even a one terabyte hard drive may not be ample.
