Of course - my SCD-777ES and the SCD-1 machines are virtually identical, and both wiegh enough so the bike tube can go dirctly under the player without the need for an additional plate,But you could always sit a plate on the tube then the player on the plate. The key is to have the tube soft inflated - just enough so the whole package is floppy with no hard mechanical connection to Mother Erath.
More than worth a try for arond $2 at any store that carries bike parts.
