Phillips 963sa questions

I have a Phillips SACD1000 that still works....but for how long ?

A local shop has a clean used Phillips 963sa that can be purchased for ~$150, with a 30 day guarantee. Is this a good price ?

How does the 963 compare to the 1000, assuming both are stock ? Which one sounds better ?
