I had a problem with my 963sa last year and it ended up that it was caused by a disc I got from the library that had some tape adhesive on it. Mine got very fussy with what it would accept and sometimes the tray would open and the cd was stuck in the machine. Someone suggested I carefully remove the adhesive from the mechanism but it seems to me the access was not easy. It has been working fine since the adhesive was removed.
