I leave it on 44.1 for HDCD, although I don't think you can upsample the HDCD anyway, it has its own processing.For most red book CD's I prefer the 192 KHz. Its a little smoother on the top end.
Some CD's do sound best with no upsampling.
I like the option, but usually leave it set on 192 KHz.
