Kal, thanks for the review of the Linn Chakra power amp in your latest column. I want to convert my "big" system to multichannel and Linn is one of the manufacturers I want to consider-I really appreciate the footprint of Linn equipment and the lack of heat. your column was silent on the other equipment you ran with the Linns (other than the speakers) - what source(s) and what preamp (s)?I have an XA9000ES front end that I really like, but often think about ditching the preamp in favor of the Linn SC-1.
Also-your column said or suggested that the Bel Canto gear runs fairly cool and is relatively compact -true? Unfortunately, buying Bel Canto here in Silicon Valley has to be done on a leap of faith - there is no dealer in Northern California.
