Strange behavior of my Esoteric X-01

Recently I found a problem in my X-01.
For unknown reason, the display is freezed (that means the time is stopped counting, for example the display shown Track 5, 3:15) while the disc is still playing. Then all the buttons on the machine nor the remote are not functioned--I can't stop it from playing until it ends. Then I can't eject the disc or replay again. In other word it just totally isolates from the outside world.
I tried to switch off and on again, no use.
I tried to unplug the power, no use.
I tried to see any hint in the troubleshooting section in the manual, no such thing is mentioned.
I thought I was cursed!
Then I found a sentence in the manual at the very beginning something like saying when you keep pressing the Stop button while you switch on the machine it will reset the machine into the factory default setting, I didn't change anything since day 1, I just use its 2-channel playback without touching its multi-channel but I think it is no harm to try.
Bingo, it works and everything resumes normal.
Someone told me may be its controlling software has bugs, I don't know but as far as I know its sonic performance is still excellent.
Guess some inmates may have interest to know.
