So get a towel!! ;-0Probably, because most of my playback system veers on the "dry" side, the playback of this disc netted out to a "zero" (i.e. just right) for me. The Sony player does seem to have a little more low bass energy than the Ultech it replaced, which is kicking up the 40-something Hz room resonance that I have to the detriment of everything. This is a characteristic of the machine, not this particular recording. I'm probably going to have to pop for either a digital parametric equalizer for the subwoofer or just replace it with one that has that function built in.
The female vocalist on the Getz/Gilberto is obviously singing very close to the mike, which seems to have a bit of a "brittle" quality. Getz's sax -- well that's sumpin'!
