"ST" was, I think trying to warn people of the risks in investing in new technology that might become obsolete before it even got going.I concede that the manner of his conveying this warning . . . um . . . sometimes left room for improvement.

But, it would be nice if a digital format survived for those who cared about sonics and it certainly doesn't help to understate the number of recordings avaialble. The RIAA numbers have been suspect from Day 1 because of uncertainty as to whether hybrids were consistently counted as "SACDs" or not.
